Default another whats it worth

2001 Camaro SS 123K miles, motor was rebuit 8k ago ($3600 in parts and labor) with a new crank, pistons, bearings, rings, gaskets, LS6 oil pump, new lifters, oil pan, valve job and the heads got milled. with the mods in sig, the car has never been sprayed, interior is perfect except for a small rip in the drivers seat, black leather, monsoon, all power acc.

I have been throwing around the idea of picking up a roller 3rd or 4th gen and putting a carbed forged 408, big shot, th-350, 9" in but would have to sell this first
is 11-12k too optimistic considering the fresh motor?

Since it's an SS you have that working for you. Some people look at getting a new motor as the car being beat to ****. Also the higher mileage might steer some people away.

If you be patient I would think you caould maybe get 9500-10,500.
if the car is really clean. With todays economy and people wary of V8s even though ours get good gas mileage, expect low ball offers.

Good luck.

I don't know about your area but here in GA a clean 01-02 SS 6sp goes for 12,000-20,000 depending on mileage and condition. I personally would not sell it for anything less than $12K with a solidly built fresh motor but that's just me.

My guess is 9k....with 123k it's going to be hard for someone to get a car loan on your SS. They could get a second morgage on their house, but with home values as they are it will be hard for many people to do that.
