Simply stunning is right. I was glued to it for the entire time. Car sounds great, and is very fast! that would be a fun job

I can see the headline now....For Sale: Brand new 2009 Corvette Zr1, barely broken in w/ just 12.9 miles. LoL.
Unbelievable and awesome video though, I think he caught air like three times! Love watching cars race from that perspective

That is awesome. The acceleration in that thing is crazy. Top speed in the run was 178mph.

179 but who cares. there definately is a headwind cuz it doesnt pick up speed like it should on the straight. regardless, great lap. i can see a 7:24.x easyyy

I must say those turns at 70mph seemed really slow after those 150+ mph straightaways

Cool vid for sure. If it wasn't for the wind I'd imagine they could shave a couple more seconds off too

Considering the the C6 Z06 did a 7:42 lap there the ZR1s lap @ 7:26 is very impressive to say the least and without the head wind it could go a little quicker..

How many miles was that? Can a head wind really slow you down that much? he didn't seem to floor it on that streight away. I'll never have a ZR1 so I suck.

You know for sure he wasnt full throttle. Look at his RPM's. He wasnt going full out for some reason. I think top speed in the ZR-1 is a 205mph claim if Im not mistaken. you can only go so fast on a track cause you do need to brake at the turn that is coming up faster than hell.
