2001 SS SLP TTops 14K org mile - What's it worth.
#22
Its all about how much you think the car is worth.. i gave way to much for my car but its what the guy was asking and its what i wanted so i bought it.. i paid 14.5K for a 00 slp ss m6 with 98K two years ago and at the time i knew i was paying to much but the car was worth it to me.. if i was the guy selling the car i would hold strong at 18K until someone forked it over because for someone it will be worth it..

Does anyone else find it strange that people post here that obviously dislike and disrespect F-bodies?? What's the point? They either had horrible experiences with them or just don't watch what really low mileage examples go for (and salvage titles don't count). Like posted earlier, if you can find MINT 15k examples out there selling for $14,000 that would be considered grand theft in some states! You can always hope that it can happen but that would be one heck of a long shot.

Yeah Im not quite sure why people dont think fbodys still dont get good value. I know where I live there arent as many and mid milage good condition 00-02 Fbodys are still pulling low 20's and people are paying it. I know of a 01 WS6 that had 45k on the clock went for 21K. And I see it as its up to us that buy and sell these cars to keep the value up. I know if I were selling mine I would want no less than 19 or 20. Why not. I guess its where you live and what you want. Just my $.02

And how is 14000 not a good offer? He is in the best situation. He has no trade in & he may be purchasing from a private seller. Gas prices are in his favor too! Its too bad the OP cant get a decent suggestion. Most people on here are simply promoting what they own. Its like asking a jets fan about the dolphins game last night. If this car makes it in your name, it will be worth 14,000. On a side note, of course a WS6 will go for more than a SS. WS6>SS, they are not equals!

car sounds like my 02 29k mi, 6 speed, pewter,345hp package,CME, ss floor mats, deck mat, blackwing lid.. dash plaque key fobs, car cover birth certificate, window sticker, and zr1 wheels with new bfgoodrich tires. car is immaculate, no scratches dents or dings. sat in a garage every night. i payed 17k for that car. the seller was asking 22k in his add. i guess i offered the right price at the right time, his first child was due a week after i bought the car, he also delivered it over 100 miles. i bought the guy dinner for closing the deal, he was really sad, kinda felt bad for him.
anyhow, good luck op, car sounds great.

offer him something like 16.5K, he clearly won't want that but it's not a complete lowball offer. I would expect to pay about 17ish with some haggling. But lowballing someone usually makes them feel disrespected and can cause them to be 100% firm on the price just to spite you. So don't go in saying "14K IS ALL IT'S WORTH!"

On The Tree
I just went to go look at a 01 SS w/36k miles at a dealership and they wanted 16,991 for it. I would have bought it but its a freakin M6. Still thinking about buying it seeing how well I can drive a stick with a busted ankle and if it doesn't work out convert to a A4
