2001 SS SLP TTops 14K org mile - What's it worth.
Hey guys - I am fairly new to LS1tech - and love it. I am looking to purchase an SS and found one local that is super nice. It is more $ than i wanted to spend but wanted see what you guys think it is worth. Real money!
Here are the details: 2001 SS M6. It has 14K original one owner miles. It is pewter in color with black interior. He says he ordered it with every available SLP option. It has t-tops. It is clean! The original SLP floor mats are in the back and have never been used. I don't have any pics.
I am going to make him an offer this weekend so any help would be great. This will be a car that I will enjoy for a while and resale so i need to buy it right.

It should get pretty good gas mileage, but people might be scared to buy a V8 muscle car in the future.
Just something to think about.
For what it is, and it's condition I'd say no more than $17-18k. That's what I'd pay, although I'd be planning to keep it.

You have to remember that a V8 sports car w/ these gas prices "should" have an affect on the price, lowering it that is. But.... overall, the car is only worth what someone is willing to pay for it. IMO, it should be in the 13-14K range, maybe a tad higher because of low mileage.

What SLP options does it have? Also don't woory bout gas mileage. I thrash my Hawk A/4 and still get like 17 to 18 as compared to my DD which is a 4.3 liter ZR@ Blazer that gets like 15 to 16 MPG. A M6 will get decent mileage. I think $18 to 19k for car is fair. It all depends on how much you want the car.

If that car is MINT and it sounds like it is I would spend right up to $20,000 for it. Hopefully you can get it for less but that mileage is ultra low! There have been quite a few low mileage examples like yours for sale on Ebay and Autotrader in the past few weeks and they are all in the 20's. They are basically showroom cars like what you are describing. The only negative facing you is the re-sale since you don't plan on keeping it. That price you pay now is realistic but if you put another 16k on it in a year's time, now you are selling a 30k car which is another year older. You would be taking a big hit most likely. Think it through. Low mileage cars command the big $$$ like that 14k car. 30k is still real low mileage but starts moving away from the big $$ collector crowd. May I ask why you would want to sell it so quick? Sounds like a keeper. Good luck!

The guy that said $13-14k is a fair price, must live in the middle of nowhere. Here in Chicago, that's an $18-20k car. Maybe a bit more from a dealer.

i paid 14 for mine and its a 2000 ss with all options but the SLP package 33k miles. so id say around 16-18 for that mostly because its slp, and the low miles. he is probably going to want 20

Buy it.
I paid $18k for my 2001 SLP in 2006 with 23k miles. It had SLP LT headers, CAI, roll cage, Baer breaks, true duals, racing seats (original leather seats came in a box, which I still have), 4 point seat belts and BMR weld in subframe connectors.
17 to 18 for what you're looking at sounds like a good price, but begging the question - why would you keep it only to sell it later?
I would not worry about gas milage. Before I got the head/cam/rear end with 3.73 gears I was getting 25 to 26 mpg highway (when I kept my foot out of it).

If it has every single SLP option (which I kind of doubt) original stickers would have added up to about $38K or more new. If it really is well taken care of and like-new you're probably not gonna steal it. It's about an $18-20K car. You didn't say if it is bone stock or has any mods. If it has mods it will lower the value. If it's the original owner ask for all paperwork, especially the window stickers (any SLP options would have been listed on a secondary window sticker.)

the SLP options are printed on a sticker, i believe the sticker is on the inside of the passenger side door. i would make sure it has ALL the options and not take his work for it. Things like the CME exhaust and Blackwing airlid are tough items to find and are worth some money. My buddy sold his salvage title 01 SS SLP car with the blackwing lid, CME exhaust, floormats, etc (original slp car) with 68k for $15k in NE so he should be asking $20k for that car if its only got 14k and a clear title

you can always start low and work your way up. its probably a very nice car with only 14k miles. i would go to kelley blue book and check values, private party, trade in and retail. start just above trade in value and work your way up. CASH TALKS! if the person says noway, wait a month and call him back. just my 2 cents.
