i always just use my e-brake, i have a bad habit of forgetting it is in gear, and dropping the clutch when i start the car, so it helps avoid some embarrasment, plus, in houston, it's not like i have to worry about the e-brake not being able to hold on a "steep" incline, lol

Both. No more effort to just leave it in gear once parked.

I use the e-brake only. I hate holding my foot on the clutch when i'm messin with **** in my car like I always do when I get it. My mom left it in first once. I started it and let out of the clutch and almost ran into the air compressor.

Never use the E-brake. No big inclines here in Florida to even consider using it. The car would really need a lot of force to move while in gear. E-brakes are over rated.

First..then let it roll the weight onto the Drivetrain, then pull the E-break.

1st gear only. In freezing weather, the parking brake could freeze stuck on, so it gets left off in winter and that became a year-round habit.

I found the parking brake was starting to stick from not being used, so I pull it to start the car just to be sure it gets cycled regularly.

Here in Utah we have very steep hills (home of the 2002 Olympics), and I have found first gear will hold the car on any hill. This was not true for some four cylinder cars I have owned.

Finally, I turn the wheels when I park -- so the car will roll into the curb on a hill, and to make the car harder to steal otherwise.
