It's even spelled that way in your manual in the contents and the pictures show it spelled that way as well.

Our cars were made at the St. Therese plant, outside Montreal Quebec, Canada, not Oshawa, for the sake of accuracy...
Most words in Canada are spelled in the British way, ie colour, neighbour, etc. So regarding the spelling of the word "gages", this is a GM thing, as my Envoy (made in Ohio, I think) and my Caprice. (made in Texas ) BOTH had this spelling as well...

I wonder if they have a "headlite" switch too? I noticed that "check gages" about my 97 Camaro and it's the same on my 00 Camaro. Hadn't noticed on my 04 GMC Safari, but I'll look the next time I drive it. Maybe gauge is too tuff to spell.
