i dont think it will fit there, but im not 100%
why not just get an aftermarket radio, they can be had fairly cheap, and they will outperform the stock radio, monsoon or not.
also no need to bump after only 1 hour. to get better results post in the right forum.

To answer your question. No the 93-96's had a different mounting system, a 97-02 stereo will plug in but wont fit in the hole, you could probably modify the newer one to fit in the older car, but like stated above it would be easier to just go ahead and put in a aftermarket unit.
