buy stock, i bought 20 shares last week when it was $9.23 a share and now its $13.18 a share. look at it this way buy 10 or more shares each pay and when the new camaro comes out sell and use that money to buy one or atleast put a nice down payment on one or use it for parts money.
GM will not close down, i think if it came to the american car companies closing down or trying to merg into one company, i think they would join instead of letting rice burners rule the auto company world.

Is this thread even for real? Read the news, they've been saying GM has enough money to make it through 2009, their stocks rose almost 30% last week, and in 2009 the camaro will save GM (if it even needs to be saved) With all of the attention the car is getting, it will be a hit

Diehard bowtie boys love or hate the car, but still love GM. They keep talking about "the new Camaro is, like, soooo cool. Its going to outsell everything and GM will, like, triple their profits and beat those ricer imports and jap crap companies into doodoo...... No, I'm not going to buy one yet."

I don't ever see GM going out. I know their sales have been down a bit, but you can't deny that they're still up there. I had heard Toyota passed them up as 9secondsflat said, which kinda pisses me off. I've always been an american made kind of guy (and die hard GM), and so has my whole family. But when Toyota can produce the kind of gas milage as they do, which everyone wants when gas is so damn high, and have all these commercials claiming how great their line of trucks are ( not saying they aren't, you just can't deny, you see SOOO many of them on the road), they're just gonna keep selling. Gas prices are hurting everyone, even with new flex fuel vehicles hitting the market. But regardless, i don't think you won't see GM go out before any other company. And yes i agree the Camaro is pretty badass, and will sell descent enough, although its been kinda skiddish with GM pushing back dates, and the government cracking down on its fuel economy and such. But as far as it completely surpassing every other car in sales and upping GM's profits a whole crap ton... not gonna happen. Just my $.02

My absolute favorite thing about the new Camaro and its relation to GM's future earnings:

and in 2009 the camaro will save GM
bawaawaaayyawa!!! thats the funniest thing ive heard in a long time....
IF, the Camaro came out just a few years ealier,,it would have done quite well,,but today is a different story. It will still sell, it will still do alot of things, but for a lot of folks, 21/22 mpg on the highway isnt going to be a daily driver selection when folks are shopping for a new car.

No man, its totally true. I got a guy on the inside.
I also heard it was Ford that put a stop to the Camaro-Bird. So with No real competition, the 03/04 Cobra would run dominant those years.
Pretty crazy stuff...

Is your inside guy actually inside your head? Because in the real world businesses have something called complete divulgence.
If Ford secretly purchased GM and kept it off its books (which are available to the public), some people from the IRS and SEC would be very interested in shutting them the F down with a quickness. I'm not talking FEMA quick either, I'm talking a couple dumbasses crash planes into the world's strongest nation then have one of their sponsor countries overrun faster than any largescale military campaign in history.
I had to make sure people don't actually start spouting off stuff like Ford owning GM
