Default What oil would you use?

At my work we have 2 types of oil on tap. Mobil 1 0W40 and Pennzoil platinum 5W30. The penn is a full syn oil for those that don't know.

My reasoning tells me M1 is a better oil, but I also know that it is known for being somewhat of a thinner oil when compared to others. So is the 0W something to worry about?

What would you guys put in your car?

M-1 is no longer a true synth as it is from a group III petroleum base since Exxon bought them out. PP is group IV base and true synth. PP is SUPPOSED to have great UOA's so that is what I now run or German Castrol when I can get it.

I usually run Redline. I would run Mobile 1 over Pennzoil if those are your only two choices

I would use the PP. The weight is correct and screw M1.
