Cobra's with the stock IRS launch like dick. But once they put in the necessary solid rear from the Mach 1, they dominate. But yeah that Cobra will whoop up on you all day unless the kid is a **** driver.

When you two line have a friend with a blowdart gun shoo the left rear tire. You will pull on him pretty good when his tire goes flat.

Yeah.. It's a 16 year old kid driving daddy's car. He normally drives a civic. He doesn't know how to drive a RWD car. I'm racing from a dig, because I KNOW he'll spank me from a roll, haha. I might throw some DRs on my car, just for that race, to give me a better chance. Shot 245 street tires are a bad idea.

Are you 16 too? I can't imagine you're old enough to be able to use "they're 16" as any sort of insult.. and if you are old enough, why are you messing with a 16 year old? Honestly I'd say don't even bother. If he's 16, then he's new to driving. This also means he's probably not going to be able to handle the Mustang. If that's the case, there's going to be an accident and honestly I wouldn't want to be anywhere near him, let alone the one racing him when it happens.

Good advice, let the 16 year old talk his ****, if it's not even his car he has nothing to say. Maybe after the race your dad and his dad can lift weights to see who's stronger.

I raced one with unknown mods last Saturday from about 60-120 and it was close As I was pulling up beside him to honk he took off. I heard him downshift about the time my door was even with his back bumper. He jumped out about a car on me and by the time we hit 120 I was back where I started and a curve came up and we got out of it. He turned off and went back in the other direction and I have not seen him since. I would love to talk to him and and check his mods because I should spank a stock Cobra

Lol, we're racing at a local dragstrip, and I'm 17. We're having a little friendly rivalry, just messing around. I know the cobra is going to beat me, but I want to see when it takes me. He talked **** on my old VR-4, then I spanked his civic and he shut up. Daddy just bought the cobra yesterday, and he was out showing it off, claiming it was "sick fast" blah blah blah. I'm just in the mood to let him know a car less than half the cost of that cobra can keep up with it, kind of.

It's a friendly competition, and we're keeping it legal, which most teenagers don't do.

I'm very surprised that a dad is gonna let his 16 year old son race his cobra. Drive it yeah, race it??? I bet he won't show up. If he does let us know the outcome.

Who cares what do you have to lose? Everyone knows the termi is the way faster car but if you win you can get on his *** for being a terrible driver. But yea those 32v 4.6s are nasty, I've driven both stock for stock and it aint even close. Good luck! Oh and post the results!

Let him have his fun. I had a stealth TT before, and it don't matter know. ERIC now has an ls1 which means he is driving the best designed pushrod engine ever made.

OP, go get ya some. You will loose, but it will be fun and at least you will know where you stand. BTW, a stall, cam, and 150 shot would really wake your car up. I don't know what you do for money, but at 17 years old (aside from school and pu$$y) that should be your life's goal.

LOL, it wasnt a base. it was an SL.

And I was going to race him whether you all told me to or not

At the end of the day, it's still daddys car, whether I win or lose, I can always beat the civic, bhahahahah.

The results will be up when it's all said and done. I'm hoping for a mid-high 13, haha. I bet he goes low 12s.

If he doesn't show at the track with tires, he'll spin all of first easily without trying. Possibly all of second gear also if he doesn't know how to pedal it, you might have a chance, but he will run you down most likely.
