Default LS1 Z28 vs terminator with mods

I have a question for you all.

How well do you think a bone stock A4 LS1 Z28 would fair against an 03 Cobra with an intake, under drive pulley, and exhaust? This kid was talking it up like it was the fastest thing in the world. Before you ask, yes it's daddy's car, and I'm friends with them. When he was leaving, he floored it, and it really looked like he wasn't moving that fast.. He hooked and everything.

How do you think I'd hold up?

You would go down very easy if he can drive at all.

Ur Going To Get Raped Literally Seriously Though Its Already Faster Stock. With A Intake Thats Like 30hp And A Pully Im Not Even Going To Get Started On That. I Would Think He Is Close To The 500hp Range

As the others stated, you were already behind stock for stock. With those mods, the Termi is probably in the ballpark of 430 - 460 rwhp and that smells trouble for a stock LS1. You would need to pretty much dead hook and hope he absolutely cooks the tires to have a shot and even if you get the jump he's going to pull you in pretty quickly.

low dyno numbers he would be 450 to the ground.. you will get raped.. as long as he half *** hooks and can drive for two *****.. P/I/E termys are a run for a full bolt on stalled A4 with a nice cam.

I've beat a exhaust/pulley/tune/DRs, hell I put 2 cars on him out the hole, I had a **** load of witnesses too and I'm stock. Its ALL depends if he can drive or not. IF he can drive, your screwed, if he can't, your in good shape. Trick is to make sure you only run from a dig and find a road you can hook on, A4 f bodies are known for getting out the hole quick but you have to get traction. I know I can't hook for **** on blacktop or concrete, I can only hook on asphlat(not including the track), I also can't power brake on the street on street tires either or I spin my *** off, i hav to launch fom idel and even still I can't just punched it, i ease on it. If you really wanna be dirty, mess with him on the way to the race or just before it, his stock supercharger is known for heat soak and getting hot kinda quick.

Let me know how it turns out.

Are you sure you don't mean just pulley?

If he can launch and drive, you are toast. If he can't and gets bad wheelhop and cant drive you may get him. I have seen 03/04's run 14's due to a horrible driver. Anything can happen though.

With my old 93 T/A I ran an 03 Cobra with similar mods......we raced five times at the track, he won four out of five. All five of my runs were 12.4x......He ran a best of 12.19 and a worst of 12.6x. I took him off the line every time and watched him run me down at the top end of the track.

most people can't handle a modded cobra from a dig.... i'd say 85% of their drivers just can't drive. If hes a good driver your pretty much smoked. but race him anyway....win or lose who cares, see where you stand.

I raced a car that is VERY SIMILAR to the one you described and I one by 2 cars. I was on motor, and we both hooked very well.

You have absolutely no shot. Slap a 150 shot on your car and it will be a good race.

Call Yank and expedite a SS3600 or SS4000 UPS RED. Still not really enough, but if you can hook it (doubtfull on street tires); you ought to get a good jump out of the hole; but he will chase you down fast. Without at least a Cam you will get raped on the top end.

And without a high stall TC you really stand no chance. The factory TC makes the auto a PIG.

I raced a pullied Cobra the other night on the freeway. He didn't honk it off and i knew I was going to lose but he would smash up on me, slowly pass me then mash the throttle so I wasn't having that ****.

He pulled a solid 2-3 cars on me then stayed there, you'll lose unless you are stalled, tuned, full bolt-ons and even then he may still have the edge from a roll.

In my experience, from a dig most Cobra owners that I have come in contact with [ Yes I know what they can do with a good driver blah blah blah ] can't launch or drive their car for **** from a dig....

I would say your best chance is a dig race but once he gets moving his HP will catch you and walk you...good luck

I don't see this ending well but anything's possible, I've won races that I shouldn't have due to massive driver error.
