there is a full kit. car goes pretty quick too and you can paint and design it however you like. you can also buy a brushless motor later on and have a screamer.

i got into RC nitro hydroplanes and cars about a year or so ago. the initial investment is probably the only truly expensive thing. all the parts and tools are relatively cheap and most of which you already have. electrics are even easier, just buy the car and then later down the road swap the engine if you want. get bored of the car? no big deal, buy a new body paint it. bam brand new car. they're seriously worth every penny.

i have a buggy i am trying to sell,4wd nitro, does about 40 and has pivot ball suspension.
But nothing beat the scarab i had built years ago,it had a high compression gasoline engine 23cc.Did about 52mph and was close to 5ft long with a large stainless prop.It was sick,i wish i still had it,but sold it a long time ago.it would throw a rooster tail an easy 20feet long and 10 feet high.

I used to be into all that. It started out with being bored one winter at work and we all went down the local hobby shop and picked up Micro RS4's. Modded the crap outta them, then we moved on to gas powered t-maxxs. then i got an HPI RS4 Nitro 1/10 scale Camaro SS. I put a different pipe on it and i was over 50 mph real speeds and smashed it into a curb, took a couple weeks to order the parts and put back together. I got rid of everything when daughter #1 was born. I'm sure i can scare up a pic of the flamed micro rs4 body, that thing was killer!!

I've had electric/ nitro cars and trucks. HPI, Team Losi, and Team Associated are all good companies. HPI RS4's are a good RTR (ready to run) kit for someone wanting to get into it. www.towerhobbies.com is a good place to look.

I have an E-Maxx 4-wheel drive truck. Twin motor (electric), 2 speed transmission, adjustable suspension. I put a wheely bumper on the rear. I can do a wheely and keep the front wheels in the air til I run out of road. It'll do 35 mph with the 7 cell battery packs. What a blast!
