My buddy has a Comp Orange Mach with a CAI and Catback 5 speed and he has beat *** with a CB, Lid [ he might have other mods I forget ] and a Z-28 with 4.10s, TD both M6...

Me and him haven't got the chance to run on the street but I beat him pretty good at the track along with other Mach 1s

on horsepower tv a stock GT had 267 rwhp. the mach one has the same engine correct? ls1's just have more cubes. whats the point, check a motor trend or car & driver mag. those will give stock comparos.

I put down 354whp with the mods in my sig.

No you need to understand what he was referring to.

The original post referred to the LS1 being rated at 320 hp and bamxbam telling the guy the Mach 1 was underrated too and made around 320-330 hp. In addition to that, the LS1 was also underrated and making 340-350. I guess you took it as rwhp.

I have seen stock Mach 1's run 13.1@105 and seen many run low to mid 13's. I call it a drivers race if both are stock and both drivers can drive.

The engine in the Mach 1 is similar to the 99/01 Cobra, except the heads and cams are different as the intake. This allows the engine to have more torque down low-midrange. However, 4.30 gears and a tire will make this a good 12 second car. Then again, when you mod, all bets are off.

A Mach 1 is a 4V Engine, DOHC, NA.

They are better than GT's, Gears wake them up well, but it still takes a little more work on their part to pull an LSX down..

Those are the ones that I look for, expecially the new Shelby GT 500's..
I ran an older guy with one and beat him, after he said he was kinda diiscuoraged that he just spent all that money, I was the first car that was worth a race, and he got smoked..

I think you mean 3V, Cobras are 4V, GT=2V.

i raced one at a red light and was in the lead the entire time. coming out of first gear, i was already about 3/4 of a car length ahead then by 3 gear, i was 2-3 lengths. not sure if the guy could drive or was just from being bone stock. it sounded like it had an aftermarket catback on it though... so idk

Mach's are underrated, but when my car was down to the last bolt stock, I took a few by about a car and a half. They are still fun cars to **** around with if you got the means to drive one though.

I've raced a few....one with what he said was "full exhaust, cams, and gears" on drag radials gave me a challenge through 1 and 2 but as soon as third came he was walked on pretty bad

03/04 Mach 1's have a 4V and the 05+ GT's have the 3V.
