Why are LS1 aftermarket parts so expensive?

Parts are expensive because idiots will buy it thinking its that much better cause it costs more. Plastic intakes over $700... LOL come on man.. what a joke. Headers over $1k, $2k???? Better have turbos attached to them... Seriously what do you get for $2k? Where is the money into it?? You got raped and brag about it...lol. wow.
Its called marketing... Some places think they can sell for a lot....they sell a little for a lot. Other places Sell a lot for little....they get better known....grow, have more of a demand over time. Its all how and if the business wants to grow. If they want to remain little and build a few things and sell for high dollar....so be it.
I see tons of high priced garbage. At the drag expo there was ONE place that actually had good welds on the chassis they had on display... Congrats to Alston. Every other exibit has total tons of cash into them, fancy looking , high dollar...but when you get down to the basics....the welds on the chassis where all undercut, and no where near good enough for 1/4 of the price they put on it.
