Default Trade in ws6 for new truck?

I have been considering trading in my 02 ws6 w/ about 28K miles for a new silverado. I have a good friend at a local dealership that can get me a 08 silverado LT1 extened cab with leather, factory 20's for $19,500. Think I should do it? The truck will be my daily driver. Gas is not much of an issue, obviously because i have a trans am now. I've been contemplating on getting something a little bigger and more comfortable than the ws6

I personally woulden't do it. A truck is no comparison to a T/A.

Buy the truck and keep your ws6 in the garage.

Umm I did do the stupid thing of trading my '05 GTO for a silverado.. It was a dumb dumb dumb mistake.. I have regretted it ever since and every single time some little punk blasts by in his fart-canned honda, I kick myself. Trucks are useful and I've used the hell out of mine, but they can't handle, are slow, and in no way possible will give you any kind of performance satisfaction comapred to the T/A

I hear ya Gear Grinder. It's just a great deal on a truck and it is the exact truck I would buy if i was looking for one. There just is no utility with a ws6, but you give that up for looks and performance. I don't think i'll do it. I'll wait till i really need a truck before i do something like this and probably by then i'll be able to keep the ws6 and buy a truck. preciate the input.

I have a nice 99 Z-71 sitting in my parking lot and i have to justify my driving it evertime I get in it. The T/A, I try to talk myself out of like by thinking too many miles, oil needs changing etc... Then I get in it and go... They are so damn fun it's hard to keep me out of the seat.... Always amazes me to see those low # ones pop up. Met a guy in arbys last summer who just divorced from his wife and got his new f-bod. He picked up a cherry 4000K SS for less than $20,000. WOW. I thought I did good getting a 49 K car for 10k!!!

Interesting story here.. One of my friends was making a ping-pong table (one of the funnest games ever!), and had two 4ft x 4ft boards. He calls me up and says he cant fit them in his new grand prix GXP, and asked me if I could possibly borrow my dads truck to go get them at Home Depot and bring them to his house. I call my father up, but he was not home. I then call back asked my friend how big the boards were, and he said 4ft x 4ft. I'm like "Oh, I should be able to fit them in my Formula then!" . A few minutes later, I show up, and my friend thought I was an idiot for thinking they would fit in my Formula. I flipped down the rear seat, open up the trunk, and we both grab the boards, slide them in, and close the hatch.. and what do you know.. THEY FIT! It was close, but it worked.

They are more useful than you think they are .

WS6 > Truck..

Dont do it. I drive my truck for one day of commuting, I want to jump back in my car so bad. Only reason mine is for sale is because Im upgrading. Once your molded into an LSX, in my case, you will be missing it the very first minutes its gone. You will cry . I understand you want something more comfortable, thats why I drive my truck, but Im quick to jump in my SS. Try switching vehicles for one week with someone. Your going to blend in with everybody else and feel awkward if you owned the WS6 for awhile.

U would think u being from TX where theres a billon trucks that when you use a truck like i do for pullin, hauling, working, pleasure, that those rails are good for tieing **** down, and not hiting the side of the truck when your unloading something, and that brush graud pushes whatever gets in your way and the lights for bight light the hell out off somebody that pisses u off.
