Depends if you want a real sports car that has more to offer than straightline acceleration, or if you want a comfy cruiser that is a bit more practical yet still hauls ***. If it were my money, I'd get the vette without a doubt. Sure, most of them are owned by old geezers going through a midlife crisis, and sure, you see them almost as much as mustangs, but that doesn't change the fact that it's the better car. (in terms of performance anyway)

Now onto your question between the vette or 2010 Camaro.
I assume you're buying the vette as used, correct? So right off the bat, you are going to save some coin and with those saved coins, you can do your heads and cam on the vette and be VERY FAST!!!!!! I say vette.
GOOD LUCK!!!!

In reality, this doesn't really prove a point, or even mean anything at all. The aftermarket for the ls3 is nuts. With a cam and bolt ons, your well into the 500's.
I think that the choice will have to be based off of looks, and usage.

Power to Weight Ratio > *
470hp Camaro SS = 400hp LS2 Vette
And when is the LS2's aftermarket bad? Just as good as the LS3's

Don't know much about cars do we eh? What that 700lb weight difference means is that the LS3 camaro is going to need 70 more horsepower to even run the same times as a stock LS2 vette.

thank you for "schooling" me
If you read my first post, you'll see that I opted for him to get the vette, but to say that one should be bought over the other due to weight is ridiculous to me. When shopping for a car, you should find what suits you best, (2 doors, 4 doors, backseat, etc.) not what weighs in at 3XXX, or 3XXX. Many people choose NOT to remove their interior in their drag cars, even if it results in them running many tenths slower. They want a comfortable street car.
I never said the aftermarket for the ls2's are bad. The ls2's out of the box are fantastic. I said the aftermarket for the ls3 is great. Again, you will find that by reading the post.
Once again, read the last sentence of my post.
No hard feelings, I just think you took what I was saying the wrong way.
