I'm only getting about 21-23 mpg. Used to get 25 with a best of 26 before bolt-on mods and tune. Did all of the tune up stuff this spring, ie. sea foam, cleaned air filter, new fuel filter, plugs aren't that old so didn't need changed. I tried babying the car for an entire tank and could only pull 23. By babying I mean only about 2 WOT pulls and the rest of the time stayed under 3k rpm. So I just said screw it and went back to my normal driving style where I still get 21-22 mpg.

I get 22-24 on my commute, 1/2 55-65mph and 1/2 stop and go traffic in town. 28-30mpg on full tanks of gas on the highway.

6-speed, stock LS1 with intake and exhaust, stock tune.

Best my car ever got when stock was 22mpg. I get around 15mpg now, I don't see your problem.

off course I dont know if he even did a street tune on it only a wot tune

sounds like you could really benefit from a good street tune.

This is true, but for the more mods/hp you have, you're pushing more fuel vs stock. Move more air in/out, you have to put in more fuel also. Sorry if I confused anyone earlier.

If this is the truth, there is something seriously wrong with your car.

My 400rwhp LT1 with 3.73s, I typically got around 10-12 in town "having fun with it". Same with my friends A3 h/c/i/stall TA, he got 10-12 driving it normally and 14 if he really kept his foot out of it.

SS - stock LT1 M6 - 17 or so in town, 28 hwy

full boltons/3.42 A4 LT1 - 14 around town, never drove highway. Did get 32 driving it back when I bought it with 2.73s though

Some Boltons/4000 stall/3.73 A4 LS1 - 14 around town, 24 on highway (i was still playing around, just bought the car. one passenger, 4 wheels/tires in car, running AC)

I have never tested a full tank in town where I have babied it around, I usually drive nice with the occasional throttle. Small town = lot of stop lights, lot of stop signs, lot of stupid drivers.. so gas/brake/gas/brake.

Just for comparison -

00 Sonoma 4cyl/auto - 18mpg in town, never tested hwy (~25 I'd guess)
06 GSXR 600 - 55mpg town stock, 45 with sprockets/pipe/filter/power commander
93 Jeep GC 4.0 4wd - 12 town, 20hwy
