Worth on paper, and worth for resale is 2 different things.
Tell you what, I've got $11,000 CASH, find me a 2002 WS6 with under 10,000 miles on it, no paint work, not smoked in, and not driven in salt with a clean title and I'll buy it. Ebony interior, and a M6 are my requirements, no black cars.
I'll be waiting for links and phone numbers, but you can't deliver, your just another guy who runs his mouth on the internet.

What ever dude now your talking about dealer auctions. I don't think you could find a WS6 in excellent condition from a dealer auction anyways, but if the bank is looking to get rid of it at a dealer auction then yes they go off of the Nada and the kbb so maybe you could. So find one with super low miles and sell them if it is that easy you could make some nice profits off of it. good luck

Who cares about trade in or dealer auctions. That has nothing to do with the value of the car. Any trade in takes a huge hit and I doubt you'd ever find a clean 02 low mileage SS, WS6, or Firehawk at a dealer auction.
KBB private party sale for an 02 WS6 with 22,000 miles is 15,000, suggested retail is 17.6. Most dealers have them for over 20 grand.

Bought the 99 Z with heads (Z06) and cam for $6400. Came with $12,600 in receipts, that included rebuilt 6speed and forged bottom end. Car has full bolt ons with dyno tune. Showed 386whp and 379torque. It has 159km on it and the interior needed work. So for about 7 grand I have a 12.20 at 114mph car. All work was done 1 1/2 years ago, guy was in a tough spot. I didn't even try and negotiate the price. Bout to put the 200 shot I bought from here on it and see how strong that bottom end is!!!

A 10,000 mile 6 year old garage kept car typically won't be going through auctions, unless it was part of a bankrupcy liquidation, or tax sale.
Personally, my money is staying in a FDIC insured account, and not buying another car. For $22K, I'd be looking for a 2006 GTO not a C5 or WS6.
I wouldn't pay a lot more than KBB, but I would not let KBB be the whole guide of pricing, local area and other vehicle sale price has an effect on local pricing. Also the KBB values on low milage cars are not a true representation of thier worth for resale to collector, or enthusiast. When I purchased my car, I was happy to pay an extra $500 to get a 30K mile car, vs the normal 50-60K miles typical of a 5 year old vehicle. Typical $100 per 1000 miles under average is rule of thumb that I've used for years on low low mile cars.
I'll pull the auction reports on 2002 Trans Am's and see if they list ram air or not, and see how many 10K mile cars are in the history

i just picked up my TA last month. Its a 02 WS6 with 10,000 miles on it i paid 22,000 for it the thing is mint, but I know what your saying when i sold my 2000 Z28 a couple of years ago I didn't get anywhere near what I thought I would for it. Need to get a C5 or C6 to hold the value a little bit better, but you can find C5's for a pretty deal so who knows LOL

Wow, some of you people got great deals on these vehicles. I bought my car after searching a month and a half. Even cars as far as 300 miles away. Most of them were really expensive, and not a big selection at all. Within 300 miles, I only had about 10 cars to choose from. I had seen an ad twenty minutes after it was placed. Called the dude saw the car and fell in love. I ended up buying a 1998 Silver Trans Am. Very well taken care of inside and out. Magnaflow exhaust. Brand new BFG tires.Alpine system everywhere with JL audio sub and pioneer deck. Mileage was a little high 112,000. But it sounded and felt like new. Price $6400.00 To me it was a hell of a deal, considering what my other options were. Heres an example a 1998 ws6 with 80k miles, they wanted 11,900. all others were higher in price.
