Just sold my 1999 Z28, automatic with 116k on it. It was in excellent condition, and as clean as any car could possibly be for being daily driven for 9 years. Hell, in the past two years I had replaced the shocks, replaced the transmission, and repainted the front bumper and hood because of damage from a rock truck throwing several quarter sized rocks at the car.
www.fquick.com/Aronz28- Just to give you an idea of how nice the car was.
Sold it for $6600 yesterday. I really don't understand, I see Trans Ams or SS Camaros selling for a lot more in worse condition. Hell, I've seen some nice LT1's get $5-$6k, and they all have like 60-100k miles on them.
Post up how much you paid for/sold your fbody for.

Hmm shouldn't of sold it.... hmm should of wrecked it. I got 9300 for my 2000 firebird v6 when it got hit...I bought my 01 ws6 for 14,200 with 34k miles on it. I'm losing money on it cause i'm daily driving it. Cars don't keep the value forever... no matter how clean they are.

These cars are at the bottom of their depreciation cycle.. sooner or later probably later.. the demand will go up because of less cars on the road wear and tear.. and all that.. And i payed 11K From a dealer... for mine.. so i added an extended warranty and gap just in case. after TTL i was at 15K. 01 WS6 M6 with 45K miles. And super clean.

its not about how clean it was, it could look like a show car.... its all about mileage. the fact is no one wants to spend a decent amount of money on a car that has over 100k on the clock. Its just how car sales work, people look at 100k miles as being near the end of a domestic cars life. its like the magic number for a car being worthless. even if thats not true thats just the way the general public sees it. you couldve had a car in worse condition but had 50k and you would have made alot more money. people care about mileage, it sucks and im gonna know all about it soon, cuz i just put a brand new ls6 in my car, and even tho the motor has 5k miles, i wont get **** for the car cuz the odometer says 85k...oh well

Traded my old car: http://www.vast.com/detail/cars/ob-N...675238778&pl=4
for this:

They gave me 14K for my car, and lowered the Z28 so that it evened out. In fact, I'm paying not only less a month for the camaro, but 300 a year less on insurance.

I paid 10,500 for my 2000 z28 Camaro 39XXX miles. No problems at all clean leather bose sound system(speakers at least) Rs packaged 16x9 rims RS ground effects. with tax/title and my 1st month inshurence premium it was $12,487 But this Camaro just made me forget about the 2000 Vette and the 2002 SS. The ground effects tan and black interior and dark blue exterior made me cream my self.

Probaly is fucked up. Kinda like the matching numbers 69 Vette stingray i found for 18,000. There is no way that the car could be in good shape and only cost 18,000 it looked clean motor and all but the seller probaly is hiding sumpthing.

I bet it's just a good deal. Just go look at it and see what you think (I've been reading your post on Cz28 as well...)
This car, which belongs to my buddy who is also on this site, purchased it from another member on here for $4500..it has a few minor issues, but nothing major...a dent here and there, repainted fender, and needed new throttle cables. However, it already had T/A seats installed, an aftermarket headunit, LM1 catback, and a lid. Only 77k miles. So, the deals ARE out there, you just have to be patient and know what you're looking at when you do find a car. You don't want to let this one go and find out later you missed out. Just my opinion.

Bought my 2000 SS Camaro M6 with 104,000 miles for $6,600. Almost all factory options too but 4th gear was gone and the front bumper needs paint. SLP chrome 17x9 wheels, dual dual exhaust, 12 disc cd, 6 speaker stereo, ebony leather, hurst shifter, SLP shocks/springs. Best deal I found in 3 states, the guy needed money now so it worked out great. I flew down and drove the thing back. The car was all stock even the cags, perfect interior. I watched the add on craigslist go from 8k to 7k in two days and a day later it was at $6,600 and I said consider it sold! It did have bald tires though.

Yeah, I'm pretty glad to be trying to buy an LS1 during a winter time economy down turn, but I do feel bad for the guys who aren't getting anything for their nice cars. Just have to understand that us buyers don't have enough money either lol.

I just bought mine in July(car in sig) for $8500 with 111,000 miles. It has a very small crack in the windshield, bottom corner. Seller wanted $8900 so I offerred him $8500 because of the crack & so I bought it. Its in very nice shape for the miles, never wrecked. I since put a lil over 3Gs into her, mostly not really necesarry stuff like headers, sfcs, shifter, clutch, new console cover, DRs. The headers were necesarry though.
