I think If you use good oil and change it about 3000-5000 miles either is fine.
I use conventional Castrol GTX 10w30 in my LQ4 2500HD and change it every 4500 miles.
I use synthetic Redline 10w30 in my LS1 and change it once a year....I drive it less than 3000 miles a year so once a year is fine for synthetic.

so why not put it in them as well.
same reason they rate the corvettes that it has more hp then the trans am & camaro's, so the owners of the corvettes feel like they got more but in reality it's the same. maybe a few more pony because of exhaust but same motor.

www.amsoil.com then if you have ?'s call the tech service guys they will explain it to you...amsoil was the first with synthetic oil....it the best stuff around.

one of the main reasons people use synthetic is pretty simple: synthetic contains no fossil fuels/oils, so when/if the oil begins to burn, it wont chemically break down and cause sludge. (resulting in wear, and loss of power) synthetic is known for providing a lot more protection and reducing wear. it's not really a life or death decision, just your preference.
