Default Grinding noise from 2200 rpms and up

It seems that I'm getting a small grinding noise when I accelerate from 2200 rpms and up. Not only can I hear it, but I can also feel it on the footpetal and floorboard. Sometimes when i go up a slight incline and have to stop (while still on the incline), the grinding will start at idle. The grinding is more louder then. It stops when I put it in neutral.

Anyone know what this could be? Car does not have headers. It has the stock exhaust until after the cat. No mods were done to the tranny. Its an A4.

Default

Check your trany mount and moter mounts. Might have a broke trany mount or a really sloppy bushing
