ABS light popped on after some donuts and hard braking
Was doing some donuts and I had to hit the brakes pretty hard to prevent hitting a curb. Now the ABS light popped on. I'm going to try unhooking the battery to reset but I doubt its going to do anything. What are some basic diagnostics I can do to figure why this light is popping on?

It is most likely caused by yhe system freaking out and seeing wheels going a lot faster than the others.
It should go away. If not, you will need to get the codes pulled with a higher end scanner that will read the ABS module codes.

How far have you driven it since the burnout? If it sees the rear tires moving and not the front, it can trip a light because the wheel speed sensors aren't agreeing. The light will turn off within a few miles of normal driving though.
If it persists, have someone pull the code for you, that's the best place to start.

Well, wheel sensors are plugged in. ABS light pops on even with the car not running. Drove about a mile, didn't do anything. I tested doing some hard braking and the car stops fine. Looks like an SJM delete kit is in my future. I really don't want to waste money on ABS.
