Default Car reacts weird to bumps at highway speed

Took my car out the other night and was cruising at normal highway speed, about 60-70mph. Had two passengers with me. When i hit a quick dip in the road, the rear end would rebound in a circular motion or like a side to side wobbly motion. It wouldnt rebound/bounce straight up and down and felt real soft over those dips. So i got off the highway and rolled underneath. Nothing out of place or abnormal from when i last drove it. Pushed hard on the rear end to check for a blown shock and it was stiff. Im on stock suspension, any ideas?

The first thing I think is that one end if your panhard rod is disconnected.

it could be a bad shock.

i think you would of lost it if you didn't have a panhard.

panhard is there and intact. Its unnoticable at regular street speeds, but at highway speeds its acts up

Why would you put stock shocks on? If you're buying new shocks I would think it would make sense to get better than stock shocks.

Don't bother with the Bilstein HD shocks. Save up for Koni. Bilstein changed their valving a couple years ago to something less appropriate. I have Bilstein HD shocks and bought them around that time. They were similar in feel to stock, but it turns out that I ended up with the new valving. I've been using them, but now that they've worn and settled for about 25k miles, I'm thinking of upgrading to Koni. Also, Bilstein HD shocks were on national backorder for a long time (several months). I don't know if they are even available anymore.

If you don't have Sam's springs... there's the problem. Other spring companies take short cuts so the springs can be made as fast as possible and cost the manufacturer less money.

when i switched to my rod/rod phb this same problem went away for me. Not saying you need a rod ended phb but maybe your current phb needs the bushings replaced.

You have the wrong springs. You have LT1 springs on an LS1. Also, the Eibach springs aren't that good for handling. They are pretty much only for a low drop.
