Car dies after warm up

Car dies after warm up
The issue started by dieing after driving it but would crank right back up slowly got worse over days. Now it will die while just idling once it gets to temp. I took it to have it looked at and it wouldnt die for the mechanic then died again next day. Starting cheap i replaced the fuel fitler to avail.
After reading other threads on here i just went and unplugged my MAF and the car didnt die on me. So i plugged it back in and played with it for over an hour and continued to run.
Is it possible the MAF is dirty and thats what makes it intermediate? or should i be looking at somthing else.
One more thing i have noticed is that when i "test" is in the afternoon approx 34ish (today-after filter-and mechanic) is works but when i run it in the am 10s to 20s is when it dies. Is it possible the colder air could be causeing somthing?

A friend of mine can do that with the MAF too and his engine keeps running picture perfect, no need for his MAF to even be there anymore. He can unplug it and the engines operates completely normal. Meaning the PCM went to a Speed Density tune by itself.
The engine dying on you sounds like maybe a "Crank Shaft Position" sensor failing. When they are failing they turn the engine off at all different times and situations. And NO, you will not necassarily get an SES light. Mine failed and I never got an SES light.

Its very easy to replace, you drop the starter down and let it hang and the sensor is right there. One bolt, unplug it and plug the new one in, then put the bolt back, and put the starter back up. 10 minute job.

***But to make sure its the CSP sensor it will take an OBDII scanner to see it. You could try the free scan at Advance Auto or PepBoys, it might pick up the code, then you'll know.

you can check if you have fuel but no spark... if it's no spark it could be a couple of things ground wires behind the drivers side head or crank sensor like ls6427 says
