Default WOT not shifting/backfiring

My car is in my sig, 3'' piping with no muffler, so backfire is really obvious. Lately, when I go WOT, when it gets to the high RPMS, it doesn't shift. It just backfires constantly. Anyone else had this problem? I'm going with LTs and TDs at the end of the month, hoping the tune will help. A4 btw.

Tune it and adjust the Shift Points and Line Pressures.

Sounds like the Trans is slipping and you are bouncing off the rev limiter. A tune or adding more power won't help a trans on the way out.

Really? That sucks. Like...bad. Do you suggest I go to an m6 if that's the case?

Its blowing threw the shift points and hitting the limiter. Get someone set the shift point at 5900 and the limiter set at 6300. Change the tranny fluid and filter while your at it.

Can that be done with a tune?

Yes it has to be done with a tune. Thats just a band aid for the slipping tranny to give it more time to shift before it hits the limiter.

I'll remember to put that in my order form when I ship my PCM to LSxTune.com
