You might want to check with your insurance company before you buy a windshield. I only had to pay $100 dollars to have it replaced

Safelite auto glass did a brand new one installed for around $215 on mine. I don't know how much a used windshield costs plus installation but that isn't bad. Just FYI.

Any 98-02 camaro will have the same windshield (v6, ls1, doesn't matter). Don't know if LT1s or birds have the same or not.

Definitely check with your insurance company first, here in Florida they'll replace it free if you have full coverage.

Doesn't matter what insurance company for free replacement, depends on your state.

Do a simple google search on windshield replacement in your area. You should get a lot of hits and free quotes. I found a local company and had mine replaced for $260. They came to my house, installed the new one and took away the damaged windshield in under an hour.

They do... All Camaro/Firebirds 93-02 use the same windshield, side glass and glass installed on the hatch.

when the hell did windshields become so fricken CHEAP!!

Last time i looked into getting one it was for my old 98 Z71 i think. If i remember it was over 500 bucks, which is why i didnt get it.

I just quoted my 04 silvy and it's UNDER 300 and they will drive the 40 miles from shop to my house to do the work.

sometimes through insurance you can get 2 a year for free because of scratches/cracks etc.. they consider it a hazard.. rates dont go up either..

other than that.. you can have someone install one for about 250 bucks..

No problems with leaks or stuff on a new wind shield? I've always heard that a new windshield will never seal up like the original.

Never had a leak from a replacement. Only way it would is if it isn't done right, and safelite has never done us wrong

ive heard lots of good and bad things about safelite. from scratches and broken trim to leaky shoddy installs. however, my experience with them has been nothing short of excellent. they came, took the old windshield out, put the new one in and sealed it all without a scratch on the car in 30 minutes.
