Angry Having trouble?

I have a problem with break dust. Do anyone make a shield to keep that stuff from getting all over my new rims or is there a way to keep the level of dust from coming out? i hate break dust with a passion. it just doesnt go good on chrome.

Well...you can buy those metal shields to keep your rims clean, but they cut off air-flow to the brake system and you don't want that. Plus they don't look that great. Best thing to do is by brake pads that are low dust formulation. Probably not much more expensive than the brake shields anyway.

You have to change the brand of brake pads you are using....

Definitly go with a different set of brake pads. They tend to cost a little more but its worth it, unless your just wierd and enjoy cleaning your wheels everyday.

Yes, when you do a break job every year or two, spend the extra money for factory GM AC Delco brake pads. They don't dust AT ALL and they're the best pads for the street.

Or, at least do the fronts with those good pads, the rears probably won't dust no matter what brand you use.

Definitely change your pads. I went with the Duralast Cmax Ceramics from Autozone and so far I like them. No dust and the car stops very well.

i dont ride the breaks at all or anything like that. Really i try to use them as little as i can to try to reduce the amount of dust. I have to change my oil soon so im gona change the break pads at the same time and hopefully that stops it. Thanx for the replies!

Again.....factory original AC Delco pads produce ZERO dust. And they are the best you can get for the street. Except for the people that think they're on a road course track on city streets, then you may get some fade.
