Heat Wave!!!
Heat Wave!!! Its supposed to get to 97 here in San Antonio today and my AC has been giving me a little problem. Two months ago the one of the environmental switches went bad, or so I thought. The compressor clicks on and the ac blows cold, but it only blows cold through the defrost vents. It doesn't matter what vent I select it will only blow through the defrost vents. So I ordered a new "vent selector switch" (I think that is what it is called) and installed it during lunch...still no dice! Guys, the heat is rising and so is my frustration with this damn problem! 
...any ideas?
...any ideas? Yea man, the linkages inside that select the different doors seem to be off. You need to get inside there and check it.
Does that selector switch have any resistance to it, or does it just spin freely with no drag on it.

It does have resistance to it, which is why I was assuming it was not the doors/baffles that were stuck...but then again I did not look. Where exactly are these doors located?
well damn, I never took it all apart. But its in there behind the a/c switch panel and radio.
But maybe wait till more people post their comments, there might be a simple fix I don't know about.

It was that frkn little fitting near the PCM...I guess when I did the Imod it put some stress on the line and it popped out of place. Now should I keep the new ac controls, sell them or return them?...Only $35 for the whole panel

Verdad Gallardo Return them. If they give you ****, tell them they don't fit because someone made some mods before you owned it. Thats what I always do when I need a part to see if that is the part on my car that is bad. If its not the part, I return it. I've even returned used 02 sensors. lol
