Default Blinking SES light after plug change

A little more background. My SES light would come on when holding the rpm's at 3000-3500 and stay on. It was the pe300, and it would stay on, random engine misfire code. I would erase it, and then it would not come on again until I did the same thing with the rpm's.
Changed my 2year old TR6's with new TR6's tonight. Bothed were gapped at .030".
Now when I hold the rpm's the SES light will blink, then go away after a while. Havent had the chance to scan it yet, but my guess is the pe300 again.
Havent sprayed it in over 1 yr. Also the car still runs strong no misses or anything.
Maybe the knock sensor?
Any ideas are appreciated. Note: changing the plugs for the first time is a GOOD time.
thanks,
justin

Thats not a good gap for N/A.

.050 is much better than .030

Ya, but dont I need to keep the gap down for nitrous?
I have a wideband and it appears to be running lean WOT now. about 13.7. At WOT I dont get a SES light though, only when holding the rpms around 3/4k.

I never heard of a gap that small, even for nitrous. Smallest I've ever heard was .035. But you're having this issue while N/A, right? .030 is really small.

How big of a shot do you have? Maybe try .045. That should be fine for the spray too.

I mean barring a cracked spark plug or broken plug wire......or maybe having a spark plug wire that is touching an exhaust manifold pipe..........that small .030 gap is all I can think of.

I have my TR6's in my car gapped at .36 and I'm not getting any issues. Did you make positively sure all the plug boots went on completely.

The blinking SES is a misfire code for sure. When mine did it last year it would always throw the PO300 code. Check your wires too and make sure they are all on good. You have a misfire for sure.

A long shot, but you could try a CKP variation learn. Since you had misfires codes before the plug swap.

blinking SES is a misfire code

go recheck all of your connections to your plugs/coil packs then make sure that your plugs are all in right.

This is also called a CASE relearn. This can be the issue if you have swapped out something in the driveline or changed your PCM OS to a new one. With HPtuners or EFILive you can perform this calibration and this might clear your issue.
