My car seems to bouncing off the rev limiter at around 55-5600 rpms it wont go to 6 grand, I thought the stock rev limiter for ls1s was 6000. Could something be wrong? The car seems to run just fine

The stock tach is really slow, the only way you will know is if you do some logging or buy a shift light, does it do it in like 3rd and 4th gear?

seems like every gear but I havent really watched it other than in first, maybe its just the tach being slow because it seems to run perfect and it sounds like I'm at 6 grand

The stock rev limit is 6200 RPM. Problem is that in first gear, the tach can't keep up to the engine building revs as it hit the rev limiter, and the tach shows 5600 RPM even though you are at 6200 RPM.

In second gear the tach will show 5900 RPM when it hits the limiter.

In third or higher, the load is high enough that the tach indicates over 6000 RPM when the rev limiter kicks in and you are feeling o.k.

Check if this is the case. I was flipping out when I first had this problem, but it turned out to be o.k.
