Only if you promise to never call another vacuum bottle a Thermos unless made by them.

It is correctly called Freon if it's made by DuPont.

If you really want to be picky, we could all call it 1,1,1,2-Tetrafluoroethane.

Thanks - I'll give this a try and see if that works.

Thanks for the warning. Maybe it's best I bring it in to be checked.

Are there these switches on all models? Because I
see no hint of them in my schematic set ('02 F-body).

I've never seen an A/C system in or out of a car that didn't have lo/hi pressure switches in my time doing this. Now it could be that all they are is a sensor relaying info to the computer, which inturn is controlling things.

These are not on the 98 ls1 compressors.

There is a high pressure sending unit, that has pcm control for both high and low pressure cutoffs thresholds. There may be more inside the cabin, but exterior that was the only sensor when I reinstalled an ac system in a 1998 formula. There is a clutch connector on the compressor.

Yeah, that's all there is on my 98' also. . . Other years should be the same. . . I think. One pressure switch sending signal back to the PCM. . . And the clutch wire. . . . . . .

R12 or freon 12 is Dichlorodifluoromethane it is NOT compatible with R134a they have similar properties but are NOT the same.
