It is correctly called Freon if it's made by DuPont.
If you really want to be picky, we could all call it 1,1,1,2-Tetrafluoroethane.
There is a high pressure sending unit, that has pcm control for both high and low pressure cutoffs thresholds. There may be more inside the cabin, but exterior that was the only sensor when I reinstalled an ac system in a 1998 formula. There is a clutch connector on the compressor.

R12 or freon 12 is Dichlorodifluoromethane it is NOT compatible with R134a they have similar properties but are NOT the same.
