Default Remvong striped alan head...

Well I tracked down my squeaky pulley to the a/c idler. However the cheap allen head GM put on it stripped very easily, now what?

If you have the room take a dremel and cut away the center straight across then use a flathead screw driver to back it out

Probably not a case of cheap screw...more like trying to make a standard allen wrench fit in a metric hole. But, the tip about the screwdriver is a good one.

GM did nothing wrong, you did. The bolt is a Torx, not Allen head. Use the proper tool!

Try hammering a T50 in and see if it still works. If not, a T50+ might.
