Default Cost of replacing lifters?

I was wondering what a reasonable price would be to replace the lifters on my '02 Z28. I just want to know what the possible damage to my bank account would be. THANKS GUYS AND GALS!

Gonna be pretty expensive, and my advice to you is start your modding process if your gonna be modding the car. Reason being is they will be taking your heads off anyways and everything to get to and replace the lifters so while its torn apart, why not beef up some things in the motor. I recommend the ls7 lifters.

Thats just my .02

GM head swap gasket kit from Thunder Racing is $270...includes everything needed including the head bolts. Add in LS7 lifters for $140. From your local shop it will probably cost more...not to mention a dealership...figure another $120+ if your pushrods are bent.

Figure labor to be about as much as the parts are...I bet $1400 for parts and labor.

Why do you want to replace just the lifters?

are the ls7 lifters any different. i called a local gm dealership and they said it showed the same part number for your basic ls1-ls7 engines?

yeah, i just checked my gm performance parts catalog and it directly states that ls2 and ls7 use the same lifters as your base ls1.

Any benefit from the Cadillac style lifters on the ls1speed site? Cost like 300 that's a bit more than the 150.
