replacing window motor in passenger side question
replacing window motor in passenger side question hey guys i have an o2 SS camaro, and my passenger side window motor kept getting stuck after it only rolls up an inch or two so i had my body shop replace it while it was in there getting worked on and yet i still had the problem. So i did some research and found out the wiring issues that they have with the passenger side window so me and my buddy did the wiring mod and now it gets a full twelve volts like its supposed to (i think) have no voltometer. But the window still gets stuck, and im pretty sure it still does it is because we did it to late and the motors already burnt out, so i called up autozone and i can get a new one for 65 but its just the window motor not the whole assembly. So my question is how do i go about doing this, i dont know much about electrical so it would really help if i could get some sort of write up so i can print it out and my buddy can help me get a new window motor in, thanks alot

One suggestion to make life easier - note which bolt holes are used on your old motor and mark them on the new one. There are so many bolt holes for different applications it's easy to lose the orientation of the motor and have a hard time figuring out how it lines up.

my gm lasted until a week ago, that means it lasted almost 8 yrs. i dont trust aftermarket junk no matter how good the warranty is. hundai has 10yr 100,000 mile warranty, doesnt mean its a good car or will last that long or that i would ever consider buying one.

it is an easy fix, it would have taken me probably an hour if i wasnt in a brace or drilled out the wrong rivets. the rivets you need to drill are hidden by the inner door bracing. there is a right up on where to look for them. i thought i got lucky when i saw them, and had easy access.
