Default No back-up lights!!!! Please help

Ok, maybe this is a stupid question, I don't know. A friend informed me that my back up lights were not working awhile back. I have no idea how long they have even been out. I took the tail lights out and replaced the bulbs and checked all the fuses. They still don't work. I haven't put a meter on it yet cause like everything else the battery is dead.

Is there something simple I am missing or am I gonna just have to track the wire down????? Sorry if this seems like a stupid question, I just feel like it's something simple I'm missing.

Thanks in advance.

Prolly the switch on the side of the tranny, somewhat common on these. Cheap fix too.

How is it fixed if it's at the trans? New connector or what?
Thanks

The switch threads into the side of the tranny case. Just need a 7/8 wrench.
