Question idle problem

my idle rpm is like 500 rpms runs fine it is a descreened mass when its warm and i come to a light it seems like it wants to almost die goes to like 400 rpm but it wont stall out just runs real low,could it be a vacuum leak? what should normal idle be, i just got the car back in may this year car drives good other then that, new to this motor so if anyone knows where to check for the leak let me know thanks......

A vac leak would make it idle higher, try disconnecting the MAF sensor and take it for a spin and see if there is a difference.

As far your idle problem, I would first check your IAC counts with a scanner to see if it's responding.

Well i took out the plug, it ran almost similar to with it plugged in idles around 550 rpm.
any other suggestions?

On a side note the maf is descreened could that be the problem?

Does your RPM go down when you turn on the AC?

Same it dropped too 500 for a split sec then right back to 550ish. but i noticed the lights flickering while ac was on. maybe a electrical issue?

Your IAC motor is responding if it went back up to 550 with the AC on. Lights may be flickering becasue the idle is so low. It would still be nice to know what the IAC counts are though.

Is the car stock? I mean throttle body and tune.

I believe it is stock tune, it has a descreened maf and no cats... i got it at a dealer so not sure of the history..

I planned on doing some of the free mods ive found while searching, so i will be taking the tb off and ill check it its been touched.
