did i get screwed??
So ever since i got my first car ive just been trading up and up to get an LS1,well a couple days ago i finally got one 98 z28 m6 full exhaust and a lid.The guy explained to me it had a small electrical problem he made it sound very minor "skip shift, low oil and service engine light will blink and gas gauge will go back and fourth randomly" i figured bad ground or something.Well yea it did that but also the RPM's drop and the car will jerk uncontrollably if its in gear "it didnt do this while i test drove it", This morning i take it out drove fine for a while, when the stop light turned green i hit the gas and it just sputtered and backfired then started going. I get on the highway and when i hit the gas nothing happened in any gear so i pulled over and it cuts off, clutch pedal goes straight to the floor with no pressure. Now clutch works but it wont stay running the rpms will slowly drop and die also cant rev it it will just sputter. what could it be???? sorry for the long story just trying to explain everything
any help is appreciated thanks, Nate

Oh damn. . . . I hope you know enough about cars or know someone who does.
I hope you got a hell of a deal on this lemon. You really need to go through everything. I strongly doubt that it is one this that is fucked up. Blinking SES light is quite bad. It typically means that there is a fairly serious malfunction.
The only time I have seen one is when I put low impedance injectors in a car that car with high impedance ones.

A blinking ses is for random misfires. If the o2's are toast like you say. Then that is a huge problem and could be causing some issues. They command all your closed loop/part throttle fueling. So get the codes read to see what is going on.
Like said, do a complete tune up. New o2's, plugs, wires, oil and oil filter. Get some spray electronics cleaner and clean the maf wires. Be careful not to damage them. I use a q-tip as well.
Afterwards see how it runs. If after a tune up it doesn't get better, post up. It could be a few other things.

I suggest you take a look at your maf or coils. Flashing SES light is indicative of a misfire. A defective maf would cause the car to die down, and prevent you from revving. A defective coil would cause a backfire. It could also be a random misfire, which is one of the worst codes, because it doesn't point you in any particular direction.
I just reread your post and noticed the 'electrical' issues. Now I suggest you check the connector at the ecu.

i dont think so because when it does it the rmps fluctuate and if the car is in gear it will buck uncontrollably like its cutting off and coming back on, also every light thats on will dim with it. Maybe ill try to get a video of it

today i just turned the key to the ON position to see if it would do it and yep all the lights flashed that i mentioned fuel and volt gauge go crazy, also i can hear the fuel pump prime and a clicking noise from the fuse box under the hood every time it "resets" ....any opinions on what this could be i need to get this fixed ASAP so i can take it to get inspected
