What does code P0430 mean?
What's wrong with my car?
Thanks!

I'd refer to you as an expletive but that's not cool to insult people. Just because I have 900 posts doesn't mean I know all there is to know about F-bodies, have a wife and kids, eight GM vehicles, have rebuilt engines and transmissions in all of them, and can build my own trophy trucks from scratch. It just means I post a lot, and attempt to help a lot of people. This engine setup is the first setup I have run without cats (yep, my friends and I swapped the engine in because it came with an L36), and the rear o2's had been previously tuned out by a friend. I was having issues with his tune so I had another friend load up the base tune for my car and tweak it to remove basic stuff - but he didn't remove the rear o2's as I told him I had NIB OEM GM cats in a box waiting to go in. The kind of **** you just posted does not help anybody except you and your ego. Here's why this code happened for me:I had a friend recently change the tune on my car and he set the rear o2's to be active (again, I have no cats, on the last tune the rear o2's were tuned out). At the time of my post I assumed the rear o2's have some sort of effect on my primary issue, which was backfiring on decel (it's sort of disconcerting). The P0430 code has nothing to do with my primary issue of backfiring, which seems to be caused by a bad pre-cat O2 sensor OR an exhaust leak (which I do have).
