Default Bad bushings maybe?

So my car started making an annoying squeak noise. It only happens when I go over bumps and turn. In the my drive way I leaned on it pushing down on the front end and it does it, same squeak. Any thoughts?

2 choices...control arm bushings or sway bar bushings. My pick would be control arm if you have stock sway bars.

/\ /\ /\ yes, its still the stock suspension on it. Thats what I was thinking. Maybe sway bar bushings as well since it also does it whenever I turn.

The factory rubber sway bar bushings may crack, rot etc. but I've never heard one squeak. Urethane, on the other hand...

I'll check thoroughly this weekend but I know for sure just by looking at the upper control arm bushing they are rotted. Thanks for the insight.

sometimes ball joints can cause this issue but you can jack the front up and pull at the top and bottom of the wheel and see if theres alot of play.

never thought about that. I'll have to do that this afternoon when I get home from work. So far I'm looking at different pricing for bushings for the front upper and lower control arms.

I just put it on the "drive on" rack and have someone jounce it while im under there. if you have some way of getting under there while someone bounces it, youll figure it out in no time.

Well I checked the ball joints last nite and yes the rubber is torn and rotted on both sides from what I saw. Gonna take it to my friends shop this Sat, put it on the lift and bounce on it while Im under like 98PONTIAC said and see if there is any other issues.

You can't check ball joints by bouncing the car, or by rocking the wheel in and out at the top and bottom. You have to put a jack under the control arm to get the tire off the ground, and then put a crow bar under the tire and lift the tire up and down. If you can see movement between the ball joint shell and the ball, time for new ones. All the rubber on ball joints is for is a dust cover.
