Best drive shaft loop
Best drive shaft loop Ok, I recently installed the magnaflow 3 inch catback in my T/A. It sounds awesome, I just noticed when I hit a good bump, I hear the pipe hitting the brace under the drive shaft. I removed it, sound went away, reinstalled and it came back. So, I am certain this is the problem. I figured I might as well get a drive shaft loop if I am goinng to replace it. That being said, which brand has the best curve to allow for a bigger exhaust WITHOUT having to bang it with a hammer. Also, what are the pro and cons of a drive shaft loop that bolts around the driveshaft as to the one that the driveshaft has to be removed to install.

more input guys. Im looking at purchasing a driveshaft loop as well, and was wondering how the umi and bmr driveshaft loops fit. Also the slp loop looks pretty nice as well. Lets hear what you guys think.
The good thing about the Lakewood is, you can put it
on without dropping the driveshaft. It also doesn't sit
down low like that SLP pic. I didn't have any troubles
with exhaust banging.

Verdad Gallardo Yes, thanks for the input. How difficult is it to drop the drive shaft? I am leaning toward BMR, since I was looking at at some of their packages anyways. Thanks for the pic on the SLP one, that really helps.
Like other mentioned our loop does provide much need clearance around the exhaust are to keep it from hitting and causing rattles.
But I will have to say that everyones car is a little different and it might require you to loosen the exhaust clamps and reposition the exhaust for optimal clearance.

yep, I was pretty sure that was the brand to go with, just looking at the design, it looks like a full inch of clearance...not to mention, it will match perfectly when I decide to upgrade my suspension.
