What is this and wear does the vacuum line with the eletrical tape hook up too?????

Would anybody online know what it is?? It sits on the drivers side above the coil packs, by the intake manifold

vacuum line for the evap purge valve. (almost positive)

biggb1873 is not correct.

That line heads to the AIR shut off valve. Your car doesnt seem to have it in place by looking at your picture The AIR system must be removed on your car. The solenoid that the vacuum line is connected to in that picture controls vacuum to the shut off valve. There should be 2 vacuum lines connected to that solenoid.

I would unplug the electrical connection to the solenoid and remove that one vacuum line that is taped up. If you remove the solenoid from the car, be sure to plug the other vacuum line otherwise you will have a vacuum leak.

BTW, there arent any vacuum lines that go to the purge valve...except for the large one that runs from the valve itself to the intake manifold.

Yes there is two lines going to it and one line is connectedand the other short line goes to nothing and is taped off. My car has air and it is working fine. Where does the short line connect to??Thank you for your help.

As I said, it connects to the shut off valve for the secondary AIR injection system. By looking at your picture, your car is missing this valve. Someone removed it and taped off that vacuum line.
