Default Engine pedestal bolt installation?

I'm missing a bolt out of my driver side pedestal and was wondering what needs to be done to gain access to that area to I can get the new bolt in.

It looks like if I move the steering components out of the way it is doable but I don't know what to watch out for when doing so.

Is there anything I need to know about removing any of the steering components?

It's the bolt closes to the front of the car.

Ok, so I got the alternator out of the way.

Now I'm dealing with the steering. What is that unit the steering bar bolts to?

I'm not sure if I can loosen the clamp bolt and just pull it right out without losing fluid or damaging anything.

Does anyone have any experiance with this?

I'm doing it all just to get a missing pedestal bolt back in.

steering bar? just remove the 7/16 at both ends of the shaft and you can get the steering shaft out

Where's that bolt? Sorry man, complete n00b at this.

I'm coming in from the bottom, moved the alternator out of the way and I'm looking at the bar trying to figure out where to disconnect it.

that bolt in the middle......on the steeering shaft......7/16.......remove.....you will have to pry up on it to get the shaft out........i see you have poly MM.......with the ALT out of the way you still dont have enough room to get to the bolt????

So, I've only pulled the bolt out of the bottom area (shown in pic).

Do I need to pull the upper bolt as well and remove the whole unit rather than just moving it out of the way?
