Default Dimmer switch doesn't click - no hi beams

Like the title says I can't get my hi beams. I don't have any clicking going on at all. Anything I can do short of taking the whole damned thing apart. Can I do a floor switch mod like the third gen ppl copied from the second gens? 99 camaro

I thought my 99 TA had this when I bought it. It turns out I just had to pull harder it was a really tough pull... Still is actually

I wish for the same, but I can pull so hard that it looks like the stick is about to snap.

The switch just might need to be replaced. It's on the steering column, near the starter switch. The auto parts stores will have it, and it's pretty cheap.

Drop the column down like I have it in my pic. It should drop down enough with just removing the 2 bolts that hold the column to the dash. There are 2 screws holding the dimmer switch (and the starter switch) to the column.

Wow is it really that easy? LOL

It seems to be. Well I hope it is and that the switch is actually the issue.

Thanks a lot man!

Wasnt the dimmer. Turns out it clicks fine. Good thing because there was no way in hell Id be able to get in there to change it out. The rod was a hair too short. Cut off a small piece of tranny pan gasket and stuck it in the hole then put the rod back in. All works great!

Thanks guys
