I just changed my oil yesterday and put over 5 quarts of oil in and the low oil light is on. It was on before I did my oil change, and I just recently replaced my entire a/c system, is there a chance that I unplugged the oil sensor when I was under there? Where is this sensor for that matter?

The sensor is located on the passenger side of the oil pan and connected to the plug surrounded by that big white Hex nut.

Had my oil changede recently. Light came on a week later? After tranny got worked on. Check your oil level and oil pressure. May be the oil level sensor. Got a new sensor for mine, anyone know the torque spec? Not in my wonderful service manual!

You can use whatever fits. 115 in. lb. equals "snug".

^^ What he said. 115 ft/lbs is really tight. That's tighter than you're supposed to put lug nuts on. Hell, the drain plug itself is 15-18 ft/lbs. What source says 115?

Difference being that it says in/lbs. Basically, less than 10 ft/lbs
