I'm looking to get these but they're a little more expensive. (If you've ever taken off those e-clips this is a great deal...)

I have had good success if the split lock header bolts. Not sure if they have them for LS1 engines though. They basically are cut in an X and have an allen screw that splays them out after you torque them down. Rock solid for me on my big block car.

*edit*
Here they are for LS1

This is just coming from a newb, but aren't what you guys suggesting the OP use for the attachment of the header to the head? Isn't the OP having issue with the bolts that hold the Ypipe to the headers. Probably flange mount instead of slip joint with clamp. This is just what I'm reading. But could be wrong.

Just use stock bolts with loctite on them and you wont have an issue and saves you money.

Nord-Locks are (also) expensive, but they work.

^ I ordered a set of Breslin locking bolts when I did my headers in 04, but they got lost in the shuffle and never got installed.
