it looked ok just as the stock mount that came off the trans, is there a anyway to tell how a motor mount is shot before ripping it apart?

you could use a floor jack to apply some leverage, just dont go wild under there. you should use a block of wood between the jack and engine. or you could try revving the engine some and look for excess movement.

ok cool, by revving the engine, how much flex should it have?
