I prefer gradual turns I wouldn't use the 90. Stick to 45 or straight. Hopefully not cause another restriction that could cause air pockets or heat building up from passing through a restriction.
i finally solved my issue with a used turn one pump. I found on eBay. No more fluid all over the fender and reservoir.

My hi pressure line from the rack to the power steering pump seems to be what is causing a pretty serious leak of my power steering fluid. I have all my needed parts and planning to install a Turn One order: Turn One pulley. Jegs Order: Derale (13225), 5ft. 3/8" hose (13016), 2 -6AN female x 3/8" fittings(110845). Rock Auto Order: AC DELCO hi pressure power steering hose(58 36-363170) and AC DELCO Upper Radiator Hose(35 26347X). That is all the main stuff I have for my install. There are small things like hose clamps, fluids, etc.

I have found since getting my ( new to me ) WS6....the stock return line is long enough to reach the cooler ( without any mods ) ....just use the supplied hose from the cooler packaging to go from the cooler outlet to the pump tank.......hoses are 3/8
cars without P/S coolers use a shorter return line......use the barb to extend the hose to the cooler with a splice hose
RETURN LINES NLA FROM GM
FYI
