You have to splice in the sockets.

sorry I have'nt been on in a while, still trying to locate the location of the turn signal flasher.. what I had replaced was the hazard flasher, but I can not find the turn signal flasher... I know that it is to the right of the steering column, but I can't see it anywhere. does anyone have a picture of where it is located or a diagram?

I know for certain there's a picture of the location because that is how I found mine (on a 95).

so the flasher is actually the red plug with the two wires coming out of it? This whole time i have been looking for a silver cylinder that looks like the hazard flasher... Im getting the flasher today and hopefully by the end of tonight I will have turn signals.

In the picture, the flasher is a metal cylinder (looks like the hazard flasher) plugged in to the red connector, but it is "upside down" in a holder behind one of the hard plastic ribs under the dash. (So, the cylinder part is not visible in the picture linked above.)

I checked my flashers and the turn signal thermal flasher should be a #323.

ok, that makes a lot more sense... Thanks for all of your help. Hopefully the flasher is the problem.
