Default Help with dead spot

Just like the title says. About 2200-2600 rpms i can feel a dead spot. Like something is holding the car back a little. I've received my headers and will b doin the install in a few weeks which will include !EGR, !AIR, true Duals, spark plugs, wires, and a fuel filter. I'm
Hoping one of those takes care of the problem. Other than that I'm not sure what would b causing it. I'm assuming fuel or ignition. Thanks for the help.

Car has SLP Lid which needs to be replaced. Previous owner dropped something on it and broke it. Now thes a big retabgular hole cut in the front of it. And that's the only mod it has.

I'm goin to out some fuel injector cleaner in it tonight also. Thanks again.

Buy a can of Sea Foam, put a full can into 1/8 - 1/4 tank of gas....that will clean your injectors better than any fuel injector cleaner will.

Could be a dirty fuel filter too.

Might as well use it, yea....but it won't clean anything.

SeaFoam is great for the fuel system. I do it every 3-4 months as maintenance. But you should change the fuel filter after that tank of gas runs out......in case any dirt was loosened and went into the fuel filter. Its a 5 minute job and $12.00.

You probably have a K&N filter, right? If so, it may be shedding oil on to your MAF. Some MAF cleaner and a good spraying would take care of that.

Nope. It has just the regular stock filter but I may try to clean the MAF anyway cuz like I said there's a big piece missing out of the lid. Imma order a new one in a week.

So you want him to seafoam to clean the injectors, yet you admit the trash gets caught in the fuel filter which is before the injectors???...... You should go work for seafoam.

Found a vacuum leak right after the TB on the passenger side of the intake manifold. It's a decent sized hose the runs Down the side of the intake. Not sure where it goes. It was dark out and I could hear it hissing. Think that could cause a dead spot. My car idles high sometimes to. I'm assuming due to that leak.

Uh, yea...SeaFoam can loosen large pieces of **** in the gas tank, the fuel filter will catch it though. But the SeaFoam will still go throguh the lines and clean the injectors.

Tell me you really do understand that process......you can't be that ****** airheaded edit..........

If everything gets caught in the filter why would the injectors need to be cleaned? Diggin yourself a hole on this one. But its ok, seafoam cleans the injectors real good. Makes em like brand new. Happy?

Pitch em on the GPS locator too. Are you a salesman? Seriously.

I guess you are an airhead...........I said in case any LARGE pieces break free in the gas tank. The fuel filter will catch those pieces. Alot of times the fuel filter on the fuel pump also tears or degrades and those large pieces can go into the fuel filter too.

Talk about digging a hole.........you must read and comprehend....comprehending being the important part.

Put the shovel down.

Use 3/8" heater hose to replace any factory PCV lines.

Or you can get used factory lines "usually" at http://www.tacreationsusa.com/

He has a ton of good used stuff at good prices.

Ok cool. I wasn't sure if I should get the molded hose or just use regular hose. I don't want it to look ghetto. not sure what kind of connector is on the end of it. It's too damn cold to work on anything right now.

I'm getting the same thing, and though that since it is at the spot in the rev range every time that it might be an ignition issue. I don't really know a lot about ignition on things without distributors (I became a mechanic on a BBC), but that seems plausible to me. Let me know if this fixes your problem, because if so it will save me a lot of headache.
