Default NEED HELP: Passanger Side Headlight Stuck Up!

Ok guys I have tried just about everything I know to do in order to diagnose the problem, but I can not seem to figure out what is going on here. The passanger side headlight is stuck in the up position, and the light won't work. The high beam will work but not the regular headlight. I have replace the light, pulled and cleaned wires, even messed with fuses! SOMEONE HELP!

Check the pins for voltage? I know when I got my headlight motor replace the guy didn't put the connector together enough water got in and corroded the tips and eventually the motor clips broke. I hot wired it together bypassing the connectors and haven't had an issue since.

Ok so after messing with the wires and connection more I have the actual light working, but the headlight assembly is still stuck up, and it doesn't even sound like the motor is doing anything.

You can see which wires go to the lights and which go to the motor. So check those and see. Check voltage in the car side of the connector

So did you just snip the wires and completely get rid of the connection?

I just went to autozone or you can go wherever. Get the and gauge wire as existing and ge an assorted pack of these connectors. I forget what their called. But it's like a splice case. It allows the wire to go through it so you don't have to cut it. And just match the wire up from one side to the other

For a few bucks, you can buy brand new connectors. The exact ones you are cutting off. Splice them in, good to go.

Well after messing with this headlight for the afternoon I have bypassed the connector and crimped the wires together. The light now works and the motor has power, but I think somehow during the whole process it got messed up. Now instead of going up and down it stays up but makes a terrible grinding noise.

Anyone have any ideas?

PT1015 is one end of the connector
PT1251 is the other end that PT1015 plugs into

Those are the 2 part numbers for the connectors. AC Delco.

I used those myself to replace the damaged connectors on my TA a month back. Unless you're flat broke, I really don't recommend jerry rigging the connection together. It's cheap, and when you need to pull the motor out, which you very likely have to now since it seems your gear may be stripped, you need to clip and recrimp it all over again.

Buy those new connectors, both of em, splice them in and use plenty of dielectric grease in the plug and you'll be set.
